WICHE
is a student exchange program in which the following states

WESTERN
UNDERGRADUATE EXCHANGE PROGRAM (WUE)
PURPOSE: This program is
for students at the undergraduate level who are
looking to obtain their education outside of Nevada. The
major benefit of this program is that the tuition cost is
just 50% more than the fees charged to in-state residents.
Students can attend 141 participating colleges and
universities in the 15 western states. Multiple fields of
study are available. Students maintain their Nevada
residency.
REQUIREMENTS: Nevada
residency; application and acceptance to a designated WICHE
educational institution.
ELIGIBILITY: Determined
individually by each educational institution. Contact the
institution(s) to which you are applying.
PROFESSIONAL
STUDENT EXCHANGE PROGRAM (PSEP)
PURPOSE:
This program is for students at the professional or
graduate level who are looking to obtain their education
in schools outside of Nevada. Students can attend select
educational institutions among the 15 western states in the
following fields of study:

REQUIREMENTS: 25% of the
total support fee provided must be repaid within 5-10 years
after graduation. 75% of the support fee is granted if
student returns to the state of Nevada after completion of
education and practices the profession for as many years as
financial assistance was provided. Physician
Assistants participate under the HCAP program guidelines –
see below for requirements.
ELIGIBILITY: Nevada
residency for a minimum of one year. Completion of WICHE
application. Application and acceptance to a designated
WICHE educational institution.
HEALTH
CARE ACCESS PROGRAM (HCAP)
PURPOSE:
The State of Nevada is concerned over the growing number of
medically underserved people in our state. The HCAP program
has been developed to provide services to Nevadans who are
not receiving necessary health care. WICHE offers the
following in financial aid for Nevada students:

REQUIREMENTS: After
completion of education, students must work in the state of
Nevada with an underserved population in the
profession for which support was provided for a total of 2
years. No repayment of funds is required.

application. Application and acceptance to a designated
WICHE educational institution (tuition assistance only).
Selection made by interview process.
